CSU Extension's mission is to provide information and education, and encourage the application of research-based knowledge in response to local, state, and national issues affecting individuals, youth, families, agricultural enterprises, and communities of Colorado.

The Institute for the Built Environment (IBE), founded in 1994 at Colorado State University, is a multidisciplinary institute whose mission is to foster stewardship and sustainability of natural and built environments through research-based, interdisciplinary educational forums.

The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association is a Fort Collins, Colorado based non-profit organization committed to applying our vision and expertise toward a sustainable future for all.
Our mission is to educate people and communities in the Rocky Mountain region about healthy sustainable choices. We primarily accomplish this mission through our annual Sustainable Living Fair in September, the largest event of it’s kind in the Rocky Mountain region.

CSU's Interdisciplinary Program in Organic Agriculture provides a unique opportunity to study the science of organic production. Our program builds on a base of fundamental agricultural sciences with additional courses on organic agricultural methods, management and marketing.

__Front Range Community College Horticulture and Landscape Technologies Program offers certificates and an Associate's degree program for those interested in pursuing employment in most sectors of the horticulture industry. Course offerings include: urban farm management, irrigation, landscape design, landscape contracting, and nursery and garden center management to name a few.  At FRCC students build close partnerships with instructors and industry professionals through small class sizes and relevant content.
