Mixed perennial flowers on one side, with herbs in containers spread throughout the perimeter, and the other half devoted to veggies: 3 kinds of summer squash, red and yellow peppers, 4 kinds of heirloom tomatoes, a row of chard, and cucumbers. It's just a very small plot in my private front yard that I cleared out, loaded with compost, and tried my best to see what would grow in the only 5-6 hours of direct sun per day. ...
Miscl. yard areas for fruits, vegetables and herbs. Earth boxes, containers of different types. Changes every year. Everything from 8' x 10' green house to raised bed in driveway. Have an undeveloped site of 9.350 sq. ft. that I will be developing for food production. Many things up in the air regarding the use, with the primary thrust at this point of putting in a prototype PV electric solar greenhouse for year round production. Irrigation water right may or may not be available. I guess you could say that I am thinking about getting ready to commence to start to begin to make this project work. All thoughts, ideas or suggestions welcome.
