Our sheet mulch projects bring life back to the soil, provide future healthy land for supporting gardens and resilient ecosystems around those gardens. All while leveraging the collective power of community.
Earth Day Seed Share
This multi-organizational effort shares organic non-gmo seeds annually at no cost, thanks to generous seed keepers. We’ve distributed many thousands of packets.
2024 Gleaning Events
Our annual volunteer community fruit picking initiative captures excess fruit from backyards to reduce food waste and equitably distribute the fruit to food relief partners, shelters and schools. We collaborate with other organizations for assistance in distribution and processing slightly bruised fruits into cider and apple sauce.
ApplePalooza
Celebrating the end of our fruit picking season with ApplePalooza, which brought together community partners and volunteers to press cider, make applesauce, create poetry, make apple crafts and enjoy an all apple potluck.
