What is gleaning?
Gleaning is the practice of collecting unused or leftover crops from fields and trees after harvest for redistribution. It addresses food waste by gathering produce that is missed, rejected, or uneconomical to harvest, providing fresh food to those in need.
Share Your Harvest:
Thanks to 82 tree and grape vine stewards we gleaned 10,400 pounds of fruit in 2025. We shared this bounty with 27 food relief organizations. More and more of our neighbors are depending on food pantries to make ends meet, so this is a significant gift. We are so grateful to those of you who shared the bounty of your trees and vines with us and the hundreds of volunteers that shared their time in picking all of that fruit.

How it works
1
Start by filling out a simple form to let us know about your fruit tree. This quick step ensures we can schedule a time to come and harvest your fruit.
2
Once we are connected, our team will visit your property to harvest all the ripe fruit and collect it for you. No more worrying about a sticky, fruit-filled yard—we’ll handle the hard work!
3
The freshly harvested fruit is shared with local organizations that distribute it to neighbors in need, helping to reduce food waste and support the community. High-quality fruit goes directly to those who can enjoy it, while slightly blemished fruit is turned into delicious sauces, cider, or used in school cooking classes.
4
When possible bruised or overripe fruit is either composted or given to local pig farmers, ensuring that nothing goes to waste—and nothing ends up in a landfill.
