Manda is creating "honey fermented harmony" via amazing kombuchas. Kombucha is a fermented drink easily made in your home from a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast, referred to as a "SCOBY". By infusing her kombuchas with liquid gold & herbal medicines, Manda creates a gift for us prompting positive transformation. Research shows your gut flora can affect your brain health, your gut health and your immune system. Most disease originates in your digestive system. The huge probiotic content of kombucha helps maintain the ideal balance of good & bad bacteria as a foundation for good health. Come learn how to make your own kombuchas. Please share the knowledge. These potlucks are cost & waste free, so please bring your own plate, utensils, cup, etc. Please bring food to share.

A Bountiful Season
2014 has been the most bountiful season for Grow Local Colorado to date. We are grateful to all of you that made this season so successful. Our pre-season goal was to grow 5,000 pounds of produce this year. We easily surpassed that goal and are proud to say that 5,513 pounds of fresh, local, organic produce was shared with nine communities in need. We reached that incredible number thanks to being 100% powered by volunteers. Our volunteers put in 1,078 hours this season; 255 of which were by kids ranging in age from five to eighteen. We were also blessed by seventeen businesses and organizations that partnered with us to make our gardens such a great success. Our partners helped us with all the work in the gardens as well as providing funding, food, support and seedlings. To each of you we say, "Thank you". We are most appreciative of you: sharing fresh produce with those most in need in our community; teaching gardening skills to all ages and needs; ensuring our gardens were a beautiful and healthy oasis; and sharing your talents, passions and resources with our community. We are most grateful! Let's continue to grow together.
