2024 Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the key to our success. Without you we are unable to tend our 20 garden sites, donate over 16,000 pounds of food annually, pick dozens of fruit trees, educate young gardeners, and make our community healthier and happier. The more helpers we have the more fun and less work it takes to get all this important work done. Please consider joining us just once or weekly. Whatever works for your schedule.
 
We use "VolunteerSignup.org" to organize our volunteer registrations.
Below is a list of gardens with tending days and locations. Click on the sign up link for a garden to register. By signing up, we will be able to contact you with any last minute changes.
 
 
Mondays
 
Civic Center Park, located in the heart of Denver, has 10 vegetable beds. We tend these beds every other Monday morning.

Andy’s Garden is by Yale and Sheridan, with a beautiful lake in the back yard. We tend this site on Monday evenings.

Tuesdays
 
Community Ministry’s garden is located in the back of their building, 1775 S Zuni. We tend this garden on Tuesday mornings.

Cory Elementary is at Florida Ave and Steele Street. While school is out we tend these raised beds on Tuesday mornings.

Wednesdays
 
Tyler’s Garden is one of our newest gardens in the front yard of one of our interns, located by 3rd Avenue and Lowell Blvd. We tend this garden every other Wednesday morning.

Cristo Rey is one of our most productive gardens, located in a church’s courtyard. We tend this sheet mulch garden on Wednesday mornings.

Thursdays
 
Civic Center Park, located in the heart of Denver, has 10 vegetable beds. We will tend these beds every Thursday morning beginning in July.

Race Garden, just off Colfax, is tended on Friday mornings.

Angel’s Garden, another backyard garden, is by 3rd and Sheridan. We tend these raised beds every other Saturday.
