Wondering what our community thinks of us? Here’s what our partnering organizations, volunteers, and event attendees are saying about GLC:
Slow Food Denver loves mornings spent with Grow Local Colorado at the Civic Center Gardens. It is a time for us to grow and cultivate our community of volunteers as we gather to learn, harvest, plant, and maintain these beautiful gardens that feed the Denver metro community. Thank you, Grow Local Colorado for your strong partnership with us for over 15 years. We are grateful for each of you!

Executive Director, Slow Food Denver
Working with Grow Local Colorado is like holding a megaphone to the impact of every project we collaborate on. Their community connections are deep and authentic and they are well-equipped with both technical urban gardening and the interpersonal skills needed to navigate complex community dynamics. Our projects have included increasing the number of urban garden sites for community members, starting a seed-sharing initiative, co-hosting free workshops, and city-wide fruit gleaning efforts. One of Grow Local's great strengths lies in their ability to mobilize the right people at the right time for volunteering and resource distribution, but also for fundraising and community organizing.

In my nearly 10 years as a volunteer for Grow local Colorado, I have been privileged to meet amazing, fabulous people! Staff, other volunteers, and even many of the clients at the Haven where I've spent my volunteer hours have all taught me something valuable, useful, and delightful. The fact that we are growing healthy organic food for the hungry is even more satisfying. Grow Local Colorado doesn't just grow food; they also "grow" people!

Grow Local Colorado and Denver Local Seed Project stand out to us at Petals for Pollinators. Their refreshing perspectives and remarkable abilities to accomplish such vast AND fast reaching impacts in our community is inspiring. The attention and care that Linda, Barbara, and everyone at these organizations give is something I am in awe of. They are an inspiration and a graceful hand-up to myself and so many. I know I speak for the masses when I say the inclusivity they bring to those of us working to foster reconnection to food and food access goes beyond measure and is cherished. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I was here last year, and it was so much fun I had to come back this year. Thank you for having this event.

I've had the pleasure of working with Grow Local for nearly four years. I am always impressed with their capacity for growing and sharing within our communities--whether its growing gardens in under served communities and under utilized spaces or by joining corporate events sharing seeds or teaching people how to grow their own. They are always ready and willing to go above and beyond to help.
